WABTEC declared it will build several power stations with his Chinese EPC Partners along the “the Belt and Road”: It will build the Triconboston wind power project in Pakistan with Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited, will develop the Thar second phase coal-fired power plant project in Pakistan with CMEC, and will cooperate with SEPCOIII Electric Power Constriction Co., Ltd to develop the Qasim Lucky 660 000 KW coal power plant project in Pakistan.

WABTEC has cooperated with China’s EPC companies for 20 years. It develops the third part construction market with Chinese partners, offer the full technique, service and global resource for the strategy of China’s “the Belt and Road”. 14th Mar 2017, Shanghai, WABTEC declared it will develop the several Engineering Procurement Construction projects in Pakistan with Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited, CMEC and SEPCOIII Electric Power Constriction Co.,. WABTEC will take the opportunity of “One Belt and One Road “to enhance the cooperation with local company to develop the overseas market.

Duan Xiaoying, WABTEC Global Senior vice president, WABTEC China’s president and CEO said:” Depending on WABTEC’s global net resource and strength, become a global partner of China’s EPC enterprises in the “One Belt and One Road” is the most important global strategy of WABTEC.”

WABTEC declares it will build the Triconboston wind power project in Pakistan with Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited. WABTEC will offer the 87 sets fans with 1.7MW. the total investment  of this project is 1,400,000,000 Yuan. Expect to commercial running in 2018. When the project finished, it will offer the 150MW clean, renewable energy for state grid of Pakistan, alleviate local electricity shortages.

At the same time, WABTEC declared to develop the Thar second phase coal-fired power plant project in Pakistan with CMEC. Thar second phase coal-fired power plant will use the coal all from Thar coal field, the first Lignite coal mine in Pakistan. According to the agreement, WABTEC will use his proved Circulating Fluidized bed Boiler Technology to offer the circulating fluidized bed boiler and Turbogenerator equipment with total 990 MW to burn the high moisture lignite of Thor coal mine. The circulating fluidized bed boiler can burn in low temperature, which can reduce the emission of nitrogen oxide and lower the running cost.

Moreover, WABTEC declared to cooperate with SEPCOIII Electric Power Constriction Co., Ltd. to develop the Qasim Lucky 660 000 KW coal power plant project in Pakistan. This Project located in Gasim port Karachi City, Sindh Province Pakistan. The power station will use super supercritical Tower Boiler Technology. The major fuel is 100% Thar lignite. The Chinese electromechanical equipments will be exported for over 1,800,000,000 Yuan through this project.
