WABTEC Transportation 12V250 Marine engine has got the certification of Tier 4 issued by EPA.  This shows that this engine has met the standard of NOx emission without using the urea-based after-treatment (SCR).

WABTEC Marine point out that it is trying to push its others engines which adopted the non SCR treatment , including 16 cylinders V250 and 8 cylinders L250 to get the certification EPA Tier 4 and IMO TierⅢ. 12V250 model machine with no SCR treatment has finished the EPA Tier 4 and IMO TierⅢ. exhaust test.
